วันที่ ๑๓ ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๘ เวลา ๐๘.๐๐ น. พระเดชพระคุณเจ้าประคุณสมเด็จพระวันรัต (จุนท์ พฺรหฺมคุตฺโต) รักษาการเจ้าคณะใหญ่คณะธรรมยุต กรรมการมหาเถรสมาคม และแม่กองธรรมสนามหลวง ผู้รักษาการแทนเจ้าอาวาสวัดบวรนิเวศราชวรวิหาร เป็นประธานเปิดพิธีประชุมสัมมนาพระธรรมทูตไทยทั้ง ๔ ทวีปและบุคลากรที่เกี่ยวข้อง ถวายพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระสังฆราช สมเด็จพระญาณสังวร สกลมหาสังฆปรินายก ที่ทรงเป็นประธานการอบรมพระธรรมทูตสายต่างประเทศรุ่นแรก และปฏิบัติพระกรณียกิจต่าง ๆ เกี่ยวกับการพระศาสนาในต่างประเทศนานัปการ ประชุมสัมมนา ณ ห้องประชุมศาลาสมเด็จพระมหาวีรวงศ์ (พิมพ์ ธมฺมธโร) วัดพระศรีมหาธาตุ บางเขน กรุงเทพมหานคร โดยมี ฯพณฯ สุวพันธุ์ ตันยุวรรธนะ รัฐมนตรีประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี เป็นประธานฝ่ายฆราวาส และกล่าวถวายรายงาน
การจัดงานประชุมสัมมนาพระธรรมทูตไทยและบุคลากรที่เกี่ยวข้องในครั้งนี้ เป็นการดำเนินโดยวัดบวรนิเวศ มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย มหาวิทยาลัยมหามกุฎราชวิทยาลัย สำนักงานกำกับดูแลพระธรรมทูตไปต่างประเทศ (มหานิกาย/ธรรมยุต) สถาบันฝึก อบรมพระธรรมทูตไปต่างประเทศ (มหานิกาย/ธรรมยุต) สำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ และคณะกรรมการฝ่ายจัดพิธีงานพระศพฯ เพื่อเป็นการสืบสานปณิธานในการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาไปสู่นานาประเทศ และร่วมงานพระราชทานเพลิงพระศพ สมเด็จพระญาณสังวร สกลมหาสังฆปรินายก ระหว่างวันที่ ๑๓ – ๒๐ ธันวาคม พ.ศ. ๒๕๕๘
ภาคบ่ายของการประชุมสัมมนา มีการอภิปราย “แนวทางการสืบสานพระปณิธาน ฯ” โดยมี พระโสภณวชิราภรณ์ (ไสว โชติโก) รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายกิจการต่างประเทศ รก.ผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต เป็นผู้ดำเนินรายการ มีผู้แทนจากพระธรรมทูตไทยจากทั้ง ๔ ทวีป ร่วมอภิปราย และร่วมถ่ายภาพหมู่

Phra Sophonvachirabhorn, Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs of MCU, Acting Director of Dhammaduta College of MCU was together with representatives of MCU such as administers, directors and staffs from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University to participate the seminar of Thai Dammaduta from four continents at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat, Bangkhen, Bangkok, Thailand. The aim of meeting is held to get information of experiences from Dhammaduta Bhikkhus, who are spreading Dhammas overseas and the senior Venerable Theras talk about “Continuing the determination of the Buddha’s Teachings to abroad”. Moreover, it presents the concern with Royal Cremation of the late 19th Sangharaja of Thailand, which is going to have ceremonies on 15-17 Dec 2558.
Afternoon: Phra Sophonvachirabhorn, Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs of MCU, who is a spokesperson in the seminar, is to manage the program.
